Our Purpose ¶

At Lanara, we believe that language should never be the reason someone receives worse care or support. Lanara exists to make communication safer, timelier, and more equitable in high-stakes, regulated environments.

The Problem We Solve¶

Language diversity is a part of everyday life, but when people and the professionals caring for them do not share a language, this barrier can delay care, increase risk, and widen health inequality.

Professional interpreters are essential, but access is not always immediate. Consumer tools are often used as a workaround, despite clear safety, confidentiality, and governance concerns. The result is that the current model too often falls short for patients and is difficult to scale as demand grows.

We are a multidisciplinary team spanning clinical, public sector, product, security and AI domains. We build with the realities of frontline work in mind: time pressure, limited context, competing demands and the need for clear, defensible communication.
